GameBlast16 Update: Goal Reached & New Goal Set!

Hello followers,

We have had an amazing response on our GameBlast16 fundraising page! Thanks to our generous sponsors, we have already more than doubled our goal and raised over £250 for SpecialEffect!

Now, to try and reach £300, we will start doing forfeits! For example, if we reach £300, our lead designer will sing a song live during the stream of our marathon. We will take song requests if this happens so please let us know if you have any ideas!

If you want to support us, please follow the link below:

And don’t forget that you can catch the 24hr stream from 10AM on 27th Feb on our Twitch channel, linked below:

Hi everyone,

From February 27th to 28th, we will be taking part in a sponsored 24 hour gaming marathon for a charity event called Game Blast 16 and we need your help!

Game Blast 16 is a weekend of sponsored gaming marathons, raising money for the charity Special Effect, who develop specialist equipment to enable disabled children and young people to play games again with their friends and families.

You can find out more about Special Effect and  Game Blast here:

Last year, we raised £85 so we are hoping to raise at least £100 this year!

Global Game Jam – Jam Jar

Hello followers,

You may have heard that we will be going to Global Game Jam next week.

We will be attending at the Staffordshire University site and will be split across two teams.

We have also decided to take part in GamesAid’s Jam Jar campaign!

We will have a jam jar full of tasty treats to offer to fellow jammers in exchange for a donation of whatever the jammer wishes to pay for the sweets. The proceeds will then go to the charity, GamesAid, who help support children and young people in need.

If you will be attending the site, please let us know if you have any requests for sweets!

We will keep you posted on further updates.

See you there!

The Games On Song Xmas Concert

Hello dear followers,

The Games On Song Christmas charity concert was a great success, raising over £10,000 for Games Aid.

It was an honour to work with such a dedicated and talented team of volunteers from the games industry.

We all sang loud and proud and I was very nearly brought to tears by our soloists: Ian, Chris and Katie. I hope everyone enjoyed my solo as much as I enjoyed theirs!

To those of you who supported us by donating or coming along, we cannot thank you enough. It will all go to a good cause and we could not have done it without you.

I hope I will be lucky enough to do it all over again next year!

Games On Song: Bring on September!

Hello again followers,

I have to say, I had an absolute blast at the Games on Song meet and greet earlier this evening.

Everyone was really welcoming and we got some serious singing practice done! (And even managed to fit in a well-deserved trip to the pub afterwards!)

I already can’t wait to see everyone again in September and get cracking with the rehearsals for the concert in December!

If you’re interested in coming along, keep your eyes on the blog for more details later this year.

I’ll do my best!

From a very excited lead designer,
