New Projects: Web browser game and Vocaloid music

Hi everyone,

It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

A few of our members have been busy with their final year studies at university and moving home etc. so things have admittedly been a bit quiet around here.

However, there are a couple of new projects which have come up while we’ve been offline which we would like to tell you about now.

First off, an IT Consultancy company have approached us to ask for a web-browser game for their website. For this task, our team have split up so that one sub-team can work on the new project and the rest can focus on our ongoing game project, Sanctuary.

Secondly, we are pleased to announce that our lead designer has also begun work on a music project, composing music with the use of Fruity Loops and voice synthesis software called Vocaloid Editor 4.

To find out more about this project, please visit our new Vocaloid page linked below:

I’m afraid we can’t tell you much more about the game project for the IT Consultancy company until the game is complete but we will update you on both projects as much as we can.

I hope to update you all again soon,

Global Game Jam – Jam Jar

Hello followers,

You may have heard that we will be going to Global Game Jam next week.

We will be attending at the Staffordshire University site and will be split across two teams.

We have also decided to take part in GamesAid’s Jam Jar campaign!

We will have a jam jar full of tasty treats to offer to fellow jammers in exchange for a donation of whatever the jammer wishes to pay for the sweets. The proceeds will then go to the charity, GamesAid, who help support children and young people in need.

If you will be attending the site, please let us know if you have any requests for sweets!

We will keep you posted on further updates.

See you there!

Global Game Jam 2016

Hello followers,

The weekend is coming to a close but we have some exciting events to look forward to in the next couple of months.

First off, we will be taking part in the Global Game Jam from January 29th to 31st. The Gam Jam is a global event, in which teams of 6 or less must make a game in 48 hours.

Seeing as Eathania has over 6 members, we have split ourselves across two separate teams for this event.

We shall be revealing more details as the event draws nearer so we will keep you updated!

Watch this space for updates on GGJ and more events to follow in February.

The Games On Song Xmas Concert

Hello dear followers,

The Games On Song Christmas charity concert was a great success, raising over Β£10,000 for Games Aid.

It was an honour to work with such a dedicated and talented team of volunteers from the games industry.

We all sang loud and proud and I was very nearly brought to tears by our soloists: Ian, Chris and Katie. I hope everyone enjoyed my solo as much as I enjoyed theirs!

To those of you who supported us by donating or coming along, we cannot thank you enough. It will all go to a good cause and we could not have done it without you.

I hope I will be lucky enough to do it all over again next year!

Update and the Xmas Concert!

Hello followers,

We had a review of our team processes and I’m pleased to say that we now have a clearer focus on how to proceed with our current project and the ball is finally rolling again.

We also have some exciting news!

Our lead designer will be taking part in a Christmas concert as part of the Games On Song choir!

The concert is a charity event that will be held on 16th December at St Stephens, Rosslyn Hill in London. The time of the concert is still to be announced so keep an eye on this blog and our events page for updates!

Don’t forget, we also post regular updates on our Facebook and Twitter.

We will keep in touch!

From the lead designer,

Games On Song: Bring on September!

Hello again followers,

I have to say, I had an absolute blast at the Games on Song meet and greet earlier this evening.

Everyone was really welcoming and we got some serious singing practice done! (And even managed to fit in a well-deserved trip to the pub afterwards!)

I already can’t wait to see everyone again in September and get cracking with the rehearsals for the concert in December!

If you’re interested in coming along, keep your eyes on the blog for more details later this year.

I’ll do my best!

From a very excited lead designer,

Games On Song Meet & Greet

Good evening followers,

Our lead designer will be attending the Games On Song Meet & Greet tomorrow at St Martins in the Fields.

Games On Song areΒ a choir formed from members of the UK video games industry, who raise money for charity through their performances.

We’re pretty excited to meet the choir and do some singing for a great cause! πŸ™‚

We’ll let you know how things go anyway.

Hopefully this will be the start of many meetings!

From the enthusiastic founder,
